Nature of Intern Program
ExxonMobil’s financial organization offers a number of Financial/Business Analysis internships for exceptional MBA candidates each year. The intern program is designed to provide an opportunity for the MBA candidate to assess ExxonMobil as a future employer and for ExxonMobil to assess candidate skills and long term career fit. Key objectives of the intern assignments are to test analytical skills along with leadership and teamwork abilities while providing exposure to our global operations and culture.
Our senior financial management directly oversees the internship program and has a high level of interaction with interns throughout the summer. Interns are assigned projects selected from an existing portfolio of work activities – each carrying an expectation of adding value to the organization. These activities are in a variety of areas such as business analysis, financial reporting, and/or financial controls.
Intern assignments typically last about 3 months commencing in the May/June timeframe, however flexibility exists to meet some alternate schedules.
Full time employment offers are made at the conclusion of the internship program to those candidates who have demonstrated the skills and ability to achieve senior management levels.
