Under general supervision, performs financial analysis activities. Analyzes return, depreciation, and investment rations; profit and loss income statements; and trends in sales, finance, and other areas of business.
Prepare and analyze monthly and annual financial statements.
Analyze financial accounting data and documents trends.
Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis of reports.
Monitor and reconcile FRS accounting activities; prepare entries, modifications and analysis.
Assist with maintenance of financial reporting systems and provide technical support.
Performs other job-related duties as required.
Bachelors and 3 years experience
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.

Conducts monthly compliance reviews to ensure expenses are within sponsor guidelines.
Reconciles the unit's financial accounts and monitors revenue and expenditure budgets on all sponsored grant & internal project cost centers for the department.
Serve as liaison to Office of Grants and Contracts regarding financial issues. Oversees the cash handling function for the unit, prepares deposit receipts and reconciles bank log.
Researches and notifies the appropriate staff member of the reconciliation discrepancies and review sponsored grants or internal project cost centers to ensure accuracy and availability of funds.
Experience may be counted in lieu of education.
