As a junior analyst in our credit risk team in Houston, you will focus on primarily energy-related transactions within the Commodity Markets and Finance Division. You will also have exposure to transactions involving Macquarie's advisory, capital markets and principal investments, fund entities and corporate and asset finance. You will be responsible for conducting credit analysis for both new and existing counterparties and providing recommendations on the establishment of credit limits based on financial, industry, country, business and market information, as well as being involved in the negotiation of trading agreements.
In addition, you will be responsible for ongoing monitoring of the credit quality of the portfolio by considering industry trends and market information. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in the review of structured lending and derivative transactions which will involve the review of various sources of due diligence and financial modelling.
You will build and maintain collaborative relationships with the business functions, support areas and the broader Risk Management Group which will give you the exposure necessary to maximize this early stage of your career.
This position will allow you to leverage your 1-3 years of experience in a financial analyst role. Strong numerical, analytical and communication skills along with an interest in energy markets are key to success in the role.
