The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting departmental activities related to analyzing operational and financial data required for decision-making of the senior leadership team. The position works closely with both finance and the operations team on the development of detailed operating budgets as well as projects related to benchmarking, performance improvement and position management. The position supports the development of learning programs, methods, and tools to facilitate understanding of financial, statistical, and productivity information. Additionally, the position supports decision support activities related to cost management including the development and maintenance of RVUs and cost allocation methodologies as well as coordination with operational leaders. Acts as a team lead for Financial Analysts. This position works independently but will receive guidance, strategic direction, training and coaching from Director and other team members.
Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Bachelors degree in accounting or finance, economics, business administration (major in finance), or related discipline. Work Experience (Years and Area): Five (5) years experience in financial analysis and decision support required, preferably in a healthcare environment

Other Requirements: Data analytics and manipulation of multiple databases is required. Demonstrated detailed understanding of data and processing of data. Ability to analyze reports and develop recommendations.
Knowledge of decision sciences, cost accounting, finance, benchmark analysis, productivity reporting and delivery of healthcare services.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to include presentation skills.
Proficient in all MS Office applications; demonstrated advanced functionality of Excel and Access.
